      It was only a few short months ago RHP Austin DeCarr was bearing a North East Baseball Rays uniform across his chest and  only a few short months later he has quickly become one of the most sought after HS pitchers in the country.  As you will read in the article above, DeCarr's fastball has been up to 96mph.

      Austin's journey has been all but sun shine and blue skies. His recruiting process was far from normal, his HS baseball career for that matter has been anything but normal.  Little do people know that Austin really only began pitching his sophomore year in HS.  And even in HS he compiled less then 50 innings in his ENTIRE HS career.  Slowed by injuries over the past few years his time on the mound has been limited.  But, Austin is the prime example of what hard work, determination, and mental toughness can do for a talented player.  

      It has never been a doubt of DeCarr's god given ability it has always been when is he going to put it together.......Well it seems that day as come.  It has been North East Baseball's pleasure to watch Austin evolve into the player/person he has become and we look forward to watching his future succeses.
