The way the Super 17u Invitaitonal is set up makes Monday's playoffs one of the tougher days of the year to navigate through. 3 pool play games in 3 days are then set up by 3 games in 1 day. After going through pool play at 3-0 the Rays had to win 3 games in less than 8 hours.
The day started off with a 6-0 win over the Next Level Titans out of Long Island, following a 3-0 win over New Jersey Marlins. In the Championship round the Rays were matched up with Long Island Titans, trailing by 2 runs going into the bottom of the 7th they were able to tie it on a Kevin Doody double, followed by a Ben Porter double and a single by Ryan Solomon. They would win it in extras 8-5.
