Scott comes to us from Cleveland, OH where he attended Lakewood High School. While at Lakewood High he was a Three year letterman in both Baseball and Basketball. At Lakewood Scott won such awards as: 1st Team All-Ohio, 2 time All Lake Erie League, Mizuno All-Star, Team M.V.P., Mr. Hustle Award, 1st team Sun Post and Plain Dealer, Greater Cleveland All-Star, Senior season hit .420 with 17 stolen bases. Also while in High School Scott was afforded the opportunity to play for the United States Baseball Stars who traveled to Australia. While playing for the Stars Scott was a part of the team who won the Australian Cup, and was named teams M.V.P.

Scott began his college career at Cuyahoga Community College in Parma, OH. While at Cuyahoga Community College: Set career record for hits, Broke the double play record both freshman and sophomore seasons, Holds the career record for At Bats in a season. Scott also held a career batting average of .360. As a Sophomore he hit .366 while stealing 23 bases. While at Cuyahoga, Scott was named All-Conference both Freshman and Sophomore years.

After finishing his career at Cuyahoga he accepted a scholarship to Union University in Jackson, TN, where he played one season under legendary Coach Andy Rushing, hitting .290 playing in all 58 games.

For his senior season Scott transferred to Urbana University to finish out his career. While at Urbana he posted: .402 batting average, while setting the school record for assists with 147, was 2nd Team All-Conference. Scott was also named Defensive Player of the Year. A total of five players off of his team signed Professional Contracts.

After his playing career was over, Scott joined the coaching ranks. He had the opportunity to coach one Season at Urbana University (NCAA DIV II), where he was in charge of the Infielders, Outfielders, and Base-running. While at Urbana the team posted a 33-27 record.

In the summer of 2007 Scott had the chance to coach in the Florida Bomber Organization, in Miami, Fl. The team that he coached, The Florida Bomber BlueSox, went 25-15. This team featured one Draft Pick, Joe Pagan 34th round San Diego Padres, and eight college signees. Coach Patterson was named the 2007 Coach of the Year. The Florida Bomber Organization had a total of eight players drafted last summer and over 18 college commitments to such schools as: Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Miami, South Carolina, Wake Forrest, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Mississippi, NC State, Georgia, East Tennessee State, Elon, Marshall, Cornell.
