Route 2 Blue Sox win 18u NEB End of Summer Classic

Going 6-0 on the weekend the Route 2 Blue Sox won the 2019 18u NEB End of Summer Classic with a 5-2 win over the Concord Cannons. 

The Blue Sox, who were the runners up in the 18u NEB Invitational back in June, rode strong pitcher and timely hitting on Championship Sunday to win 3 games on the day. 

Going 3-0 in pool play the Blue Sox won Pool D and came into the playoffs as the 3 seed. In The 1st round they snuck by the NE Elite 8 Champs CT Grind-White followed by a 5-2 win over the 2 seed Maine Lightning-Showcase. 

On the other side of the bracket the Concord Cannons also had to win 2 games to get to the Championship as the 5 seed they took down the 4 seed Boston Prospects 17u 5-1 followed by beat the 1 seed North East Baseball Pirates 11-6 after scoring 8 runs in the 4th.  Pool B winners North East Baseball Rays also advanced to the playoffs but were unable to participate. 

Tournament MVP went to Caden Fitzpatrick of the Route 2 Blue Sox
