NEB Pirates won 3 games on Sunday to take home the 2022 16u North East Baseball Classic title. Nolan Wanat hit a 3 run triple in the Top of the 7th to give the Pirates a 6-3 lead that they would hold to win it all. The Runner-up the CT Grind-Carolina, who were the 1 seed, got to the championships with a 4-3 win in 13 innings against Boys of Summer. 

The Pirates got to the championships game with a 7-6 win over LB Expos 2024s which included 3 lead changes. In the early games on playoff Sunday Boys of Summer beat CT Grind-Navy 6-4 and NEB Pirates beat NEB Coastal-Navy 5-1. 

Strong offensively all weekend long Nolan Wanat took home the Tournament MVP.
