North East Mudhen John Jennings is helping Newton South High School get off to a fast start.

Last Wednesday Jennings took 3 2-strike pitches over the fence (2 to Left Field, 1 to Center Field) to lead Newton South to a 10-1 win over Wayland. He also was the starting pitcher in that game going 4 innings earning the win on the mound. He is Newton South's #1 Pitcher.

Jennings followed that game up by going 3 for 4 with a Single, Double and Triple.

Last summer Jennings was a member of the North East Rays and is committed to play baseball at University of Massachusetts this fall.
