The Connecticut Capitals were crowned 2012 18u NEB Invitational on Sunday Night with a 11-8 win over the New England Ruffnecks. The Capitals went 5-0 on the weekend to sweep their way to the title.

In The Semi-Finals the Capitals beat Team Connecticut-Nationals 6-2, the Ruffnecks beat North East Baseball Rays 3-2 in the other Semi-Final to advance to the championship.  Tyler Powell was named Tournament MVP

Despite having a playoff format this event was also put on to get all the players exposed to colleges from all over the Northeast. Through out the weekend we had over 40 college coaches come to recruit players from Division I to Division III as well as Junior College.
