NEB Alumni Take Home Player/Rookie Of The Year Awards

As the College season winds down some of North East Baseball's alumni are bringing in some end of season awards.

University of Maine Infielder Mike Fransoso won American East Player of the Year and help lead the Black Bears to a 35-20 regular season record. Fransoso hit .359 with a total of 70 hits and 44 RBI. He is the 4th player in U of Maine history to win this award. Fransoso is from Portsmouth, NH and he played on the 2009 NEB Mudhens.

At Bryant University Freshman AJ Zarozny won NEC Rookie of the Year. Despite missing the first part of the year with a Broken Ankle which happened in the Pre-Season Zarozny still played in 41 games and hit .298 with 12 doubles 2 Home Runs and 25 RBIs. Zarozny played on the 2012 NEB Mudhens

WPI Freshman Alex Venditti also won Rookie of the Year in the NEWMAC Conference. Venditti played in 33 of the teams 37 games and hit .333 with 5 Home Runs and 27 RBI. His 5 Home Runs were 2nd best in the conference. Venditti played on the 2010 NEB Jays, 2011 NEB Jaxx and 2012 NEB Mudhens
