4 Current/Former North East Baseball Players Selected in 2014 MLB Draft

At the conclusion of the 2014 MLB First Year Player Draft a total of 4 former and current North East Baseball Players were selected:

Austin DeCarr (3rd Round to NY Yankees): Austin a RHP who was up to 96 MPH this spring played on the 2012 and 2013 North East Baseball Rays. He is currently committed to Clemson

Justin Bellinger (11th Round to St. Louis Cardinals): Justin a 6'6" Left Handed Power hitter is currently committed to Duke. Justin played on the 2012 North East Baseball Rays and also played Fall Ball in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Kyle McKenzie (20th Round to Tampa Bay Rays): Kyle was a member of the orginal 2009 North East Baseball Mudhens. After that summer he went to Tulane University where he just completed his career. This year McKenzie was 3-0 with a 1.27 ERA.

Chris Murphy (29th Round to Toronto Blue Jays): Chris a member of the 2013 North East Baseball Rays and 2014 North East Baseball Mudhens. Who is committed to Maine. The 6'4" 250 lb RHP was up to 91 MPH as a Senior in High School.

Congrats to all of these players on their great accomplishments. All the hours of hard work have paid off.
