NO RESPECT FOR THE SLEEPING GIANT

Chris Murphy stands at 6'4 and weighs in at 275lbs.  You would think that this big of a man would have no problem getting the respect he deserves but is has been different story for the Billerica graduate.  Murphy has spent the last year working hard on his game to have it all go un-noticed from the local press.  He has read prospect list after prospect list without his name even being mentioned.  That all changed on June 7th when Chris Murphy was drafted in the 29th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.......And he still was named CO-MVP of his HS League, that kid must have been drafted as well....or even had the same numbers....nope.

So how is it that this MLB Draft pick can go so un-noticed from local publications...this I can not tell you.  I can tell you that Chris Murphy has been a sleeping giant for years and it was only a matter of time before he was awoken.  It has been North East Baseball's pleasure to coach such a fine youngman.  For those who come in contact with the Big Fella the first response is always, "Murf is a really good kid", which a testiment to Chris's character.  The best is yet to come for Big Murf and everyone who has coached him is excited to see what the future holds.

NEB has only played a small part in Chris's recent success and in noway shape or form take credit for this youngmans accomplishments.  Murphy has played for other programs such as the Noreasters and worked with the local Pitching Jesus Matt Blake who have definitely aided in his develpment.
