Former Players Continue Summer Baseball

The 2010 College season is right around the corner, and former North East Baseball Players are gearing up.  Below is an update on our Former Players from 2009.

Sahil Bloom (Stanford University) Is expected to work out of the bullpen and battle for innings.  Sahil will play his summer ball this year in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

Kyle McKenzie (Tulane University)- COACH CRESSEND ON McKENZIE: "I am extremely excited about the opportunity to coach Kyle McKenzie. I knew he was our guy the first time I saw him pitch this summer. He will have a huge impact on our pitching staff right away. He is a strike thrower with a low 90s fastball and has plus command of his offspeed pitches. He flat out knows how to pitch. He is also a fierce competitor and brings a toughness to the mound that will benefit our entire team." -www.tulanegreenwave.com.  Kyle will be playin the Cape Cod League this summer with the Bourne Braves.

Dan Kemp- Will be the starting SS at Franklin Pierce for the 2010 season, and will be playing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League with the Keene Swamp Bats.

Logan Gillis- Northeastern University should compete for a starting roll int he INF as a freshman.  Will be playing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

Mike Fransoso- University of Maine, will start at second base and play in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

Chris Carmain- Northeastern University will compete for innings both ont he mound and at 1B.  Will be playin in the New England Collegiate Baseball League for the Lowell All Americans.

Dylan Clark- Elon University will come out of the bullpen as a freshman.  Will be plaiyng in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
