North East Baseball Finishes 3rd in Perfect Game 18u MLK Championships

Over the long MLK Day weekend North East Baseball made the treck down to Phoenix, Arizona for the Perfect Game MLK Championships and not only enjoyed the great weather but also enjoyed success on the diamond finishing 3rd in the event. 

Taking a team made up from players all over the country including: Arizona, California, Colorado, New York, Maine, New Mexico, Indiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma as well as other NEB was able to go 3-0 in pool play and get the 2  seed in the playoffs. Game 1 was a 6-0 victory over 808 Baseball Academy out of Hawaii, NEB was lead by strong pitching from Jackson Goddard (committed to Kansas), and Tyler Watson (Committed to Loyola Marymount). Game 2 was a 7-1 victory over Team Northwest 2016 NEB was lead offensively by Jaxxon Fagg who had a 2 run double and Greg Pickett (committed to Mississippi State).  

Game 3 was a 13-0 victory over Team IP Prospects. Peyton Remy (committed to New Mexico) threw 3 shut out innings on the mound and AJ Graffanino (committed to Washington) lead the team offensively going 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI.

After earning the 2 seed NEB matched up with eventual champ AZ Prowlers and fell 5-2. Luke Eigsti (committed to UAB) had an RBI Triple to lead North East Baseball offensively.
