The spring season is upon us, even thought the weather has yet to be completely cooperative. Our 12u-14u teams are well underway with their seasons; here is a summary of what our teams have been doing so far!

12u: Our 12u team, coached by Mike Abraham, has been off to a hot start this spring. The team through its first few weekends has started the season 8-1, including a playoff appearance in the Legends Top 24 Tournament at the New England Baseball Complex. The 12s have been lead by offensive power Alek Popovich, who has served as a home run threat each time he has stepped to the plate as he currently stands with 6 home runs through 9 games. The team has also had terrific defensive play by infielders Brett Martin and Cameron Marshall. The team also currently sits 4-0 within their division in the EBL and hopes to continue its success and development throughout the season.

13u: The NEB 13u, Head Coached by Chris Santucci has also been off to a good start this spring. With most of its players serving their first year on the big diamond, the team is proving to be adjusting quickly to the larger field. Players Dom Morelli and Rocco Hickson, who have showed their ability to have both power and the ability to hit the ball to all fields, have led the team offensively. The 13u group’s strength proves to be on the mound, led by Elliott Seymour, Jamie Royka and AJ Colarusso. Max Bacon has served as a wall behind the plate, controlling the pitching staff with great poise. The team currently sits at 4-4-1. 

14u Red: Led by Head Coach Mike Reynolds, the 14u Red team got off to a bit of a slow start with their opening weekend at Diamond Nation in Jersey. Since that weekend, the team has started to put multiple good games together in a row.  Since returning back home, the team has gone 5-3, including a 4-0 record last weekend in dominating fashion! As the season has progressed, the bats have also progressed for the Blue squad. With power hitting, quality defense and an array of arms on the mound, the team looks to continue to build on its recent success!

14u Blue: Head Coach David Gibson’s 14u team is put together with a group that has been playing with NEB for the past couple years and has shown to have great chemistry on the field. Despite a few injuries early in the season, the team has been able to put together multiple winning weekends in a row against tough opponents.  Coach Gibson’s team also traveled down to New Jersey and played at Diamond Nation where they were able to complete against some high level competition from the East Coast, Jonnny Pinard has led the way for the team both on the mound and with the bat. Jake Figueroa and Will Bordes have also had great impacts on the team both at the plate and with the glove! The team sits at 5-4-1 at the moment with a 2-2 record within its division!
