Another weekend in the spring of 2018 another weekend that featured cold temps and rain.  This fantastic spring continues, and so does the baseball.

With rain scheduled for most of the day on Saturday the games went on with only 3 games Postponed till Sunday. The morning games went off without a hitch under partly sunny skies the rain began to come in slightly after 12:30pm, making the 2:45pm and 4:15 games unplayable.

After pool play was finished on Sunday afternoon 4 teams were left standings 1 seed Northeast Gators, 2 seed Academy Baseball, 3 seed West Side Wildcats and 4 seed Northeast Hurricanes Blue. All teams finished pool play at 3-0.

Of course just as the playoffs were getting ready to get started.....It rained. Heavy rains left Concord Carlisle Varsity and JV Field unplayable for the remainder of the weekend. After meeting with the playoff team coaches the plan is to try and play some sort of playoffs mid-week in the month of June. So stay tuned for updated playoff information.

Coming up next is the 18u North East Baseball Invitational June 8th-11th to be hosted at the New England Baseball Complex and in the Worcester, MA area.
