Academy Baseball Canada Wins 18u NEB Invitational

For The first time in tournament history the 18u NEB Invitational champion hails from North of the Border. After winning 3 games in a 6 hour span on Monday Academy Baseball Canada took home the NEB Invitational Title. 

After winning Pool B Academy came in as the 5 seed and had to play in the play-in game against Nokona 18u. They won 4-1 and squared off against CT Blue Jays-Elite the 1 seed. After putting up 1 run in each of the first 3 innings 2 more in the 5th put the game out of reach. In The title they played the New England Waves 18u who got there on a walk off home run by Max Quinn in the Bottom of the 7th against Legends Baseball 18u.

Other teams that qualified for the playoffs but were unable to play due to school or exams were: North East Baseball Rays, CT Blue Jays-Prospects, Connecticut Edge, and Team CT Baseball 18u-Kennedy 

This 50 team event attracted over 60 college recruiters from all over the east coast and from all levels. Next NEB tournament up is the 16u North East Baseball Classic June 30th-July 2nd in Worcester, MA
