The North East Mudhens won their second tournament championship of the summer by winning the 18u North East Baseball-URI End of Summer Showdown.  The Mudhens defeated the North East Lumberjacks in the championship in a slugfest 14-12. The Mudhens advanced to the finals by defeating the North East Rays 1-0, led by Colin Egan who threw a complete game giving up only 2 hits. Egan will be attending Wake Forest in the fall.

Championship Sunday featured semi-final matchups at the University of Rhode Island that had all 4 North East Baseball teams who all went undefeated in pool play. In the first semi-final matchup the Lumberjacks defeated the 16u Jays 13-5. 

Aaron Fossas who will be attending Wake Forest in the fall was Tournament MVP as he collected 10 hits during the weekend.
